Sweden runs over Denmark at the Nordic Championships 2016

Team Sweden snatched their opening victory over Denmark at the Nordic Championsihps 2016

Sweden won the match against team Denmark 48 – 14, but the victory didn’t come easy to the Swedish players. Team Denmark had found their fighting spirit after Thursday nights loss to the Finns and the jutes gave noting for free. The Swedish team started the game with high tempo offense, especially with the running game.

In the first half team Sweden managed to weary the Danish defense with powerful rungame. Also team Sweden got their throwing game going  on. Team Sweden’s quarterback Dennis Isberg flashed some good throws and made few big plays. After the first half, score was 34 – 6 for Sweden. Team Denmark had little  bit of problems with injuries in the defense piling up, but the jutes survived with glory.

The second half  of the game was much more even. Despite the defensive injuries the Danish group was able to play much more active and smarter football. The Danish offense played the rest of the game with good spirit and the Danish defense deserves a hat lift for keeping the score differential a lot smaller.

- We played good football today in relation how short time we had to return from yesterday’s game. In addition we had several injuries that affected our game, but Sweden was a tough opponent today, says Denmark headcoach Lars Carlsen.

Sweden's headcoach Andreas Ehrenreich was after the match a little dissatisfied with his teams performance.

- We made too many mistakes in the game and we gave Denmark a chance to return to the game, these things we have to figure out before tomorrow’s game against the Finns.
